An exciting opportunity has arisen. We are looking for an motivated, enthusiastic, hard working and friendly team member to join us within our brand new Paediatric Outpatients Department as a Band 3 Nursing Assistant.
The post involves assisting the nursing staff in the delivery of care to children and their families in the hospital outpatient setting. We would expect you to accurately record, collate, monitor and provide feedback of patient information to nursing and/or medical staff, initiating actions as necessary.
The post holder must have excellent interpersonal skills, be empathetic, self-motivated, both proactive and work as part of a team, and able to develop practical skills such as phlebotomy. It is essential to have a holistic view to patient care.
The successful applicant must have NVQ III or equivalent, or currently working towards this, previous experience of working in a caring background, is able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, plus the ability to work as part of a team.
