Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Carmarthen is seeking a proactive Healthcare Assistant to support the clinical team in the dialysis unit. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will prepare equipment, assist with treatments, maintain a safe and clean environment, and help patients and visitors as required.

This full‑time role (37.5 hours, Monday to Saturday shifts 06:30–17:30) offers regular training, a competitive salary up to £25,500 plus benefits, and opportunities for career development

Qualifications

• Ideally from a healthcare background.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care preferred.
• Proactive and team‑oriented approach with good communication.

Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a pro‑active individual, ideally from a healthcare background and preferably with an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care to join our clinic as a Healthcare Assistant in Carmarthen Dialysis Unit.

What does the role involve?

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will prepare, restore and maintain areas and equipment for clinical treatments and investigations, as well as generally ensuring that the treatment environment is safe for patients, relatives and visitors.

This is an active role which involves extensive walking between patients throughout the clinic and some lifting responsibilities. However, we will provide regular training and guidance, so that you can develop your knowledge of company practice, procedures and quality management. Computer skills are essential, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with the team.

This is a full time role of 37.5 hours a week. Current days are working various shifts between Monday - Saturday - 06:30am - 17:30pm.
