Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in North Devon (Barnstaple) is seeking a Dialysis Assistant at Level 3 Health and Social Care. You will work under a Registered Nurse as part of a multidisciplinary team, preparing dialysis equipment, monitoring vital signs and caring for catheter sites.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours weekly) with shifts from 7am to 6:30pm, Monday through Saturday. The company offers extensive training, development, and a salary up to £28,500 plus benefits including pension, health

Qualifications

• Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting dialysis patients is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Look after individual patients, preparing dialysis equipment for treatment, monitoring vital signs and assessing, cleaning and redressing catheter sites as required.
• Liaise with patients, their relatives and other visitors to the clinic.
• Ensure that equipment is kept clean and supplies are well-stocked, safely stored and used efficiently.
• Keep documentation up-to-date.
• Administer medication when required.

What does the role involve?

As a Dialysis Assistant you will be working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will:

• Look after individual patients, preparing dialysis equipment for treatment, monitoring vital signs and assessing, cleaning and redressing catheter sites as required.
• Liaise with patients, their relatives and other visitors to the clinic.

This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours a week. Current days are working various shifts between 7am to 6.30pm, Monday - Saturday.
