Job Opportunity: Healthcare Assistant at Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic

Founded in 2018, The Dermatology Partnership is a growing group of private clinics trusted as dermatology experts. We aim to transform lives through outstanding dermatology care.

Position Details:

  • Type: Full Time (40 hours per week)
  • Schedule: Monday to Saturday (Saturday on shared rota basis)
  • Salary: From £25,396 per annum (increasing with relevant skills and experience)

We are seeking an experienced healthcare assistant to join our team at Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic. The successful candidate will perform clinical activities under the supervision of the Lead Nurse.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist our consultant dermatologists during consultations and surgical procedures (MOHS, mole/lesion excisions, biopsies, and shaves)
  • Conduct wound checks, change dressings, and remove stitches post-surgery
  • Maintain infection control standards in accordance with CQC guidelines
  • Perform daily clinic checks
  • Manage stock levels
  • Promote high standards of clinical care for patients
  • Ensure compliance with clinical audits, policies, procedures, and medical governance standards

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Care Certificate or higher qualification
  • Experience in venepuncture/phlebotomy (essential)
  • Interest or background in dermatology (desirable)
  • Passion for patient care and delivering excellent service
  • Good understanding of CQC policies related to clinical environments
