Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category B prison located in London. This is a full-time role on a rota basis.

Responsibilities
  • Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in collaboration with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received; promote safe patient care.
  • Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
  • Work within a busy environment and follow all policy and procedures, including working unsupervised where appropriate.
Qualifications
  • NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
  • Non-judgemental and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy.
  • Ability to work in a secure environment.
  • Experience in hospital, community, or prison settings is desirable but not essential.
