Job summary

HCA Healthcare UK is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for a Corporate Private GP role in Brighton. The position is part-time (3 days per week, 18.75 hours) and permanent, with a salary of £27,222–£31,500 depending on experience.

You will join a team including GPs, Psychologists, and Physios, delivering health and wellbeing care to a professional adult population onsite at a corporate client site. You will conduct health screenings, support lifestyle changes, and work closely with GPs and wellbeing

Qualifications

  • Care Certificate Level 2 required.
  • Experience as Healthcare Assistant in corporate or Primary Care/clinic settings is preferred.
  • Ability to deliver health assessments and lifestyle behaviour change.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality health assessments and wellbeing evaluations onsite.
  • Guide patients in understanding lifestyle choices affecting long-term health.
  • Conduct health checks including vital signs and basic measurements.
  • Perform capillary blood testing (cholesterol, glucose, HbA1c) as directed.
  • Measure BMI and waist-to-hip ratio.
  • Educate patients on screening results in clear language.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at a high-profile corporate client site in Brighton. This is a rewarding role where you’ll provide health and wellbeing clinical care, and health screening assessments to employees, working closely with GPs, fellow nurses, and the client’s internal health and wellbeing teams. This is a unique opportunity to deliver impactful care, to a professional adult population, coaching and supporting their health and wellbeing, lifestyle choices in their fast-paced, high-performing working environment.

Additionally you’ll be part of HCA UK’s wider Primary Care network, benefiting from our clinical governance and support structures and wider HCA Hospital group, for onwards treatment and care if required.

What you'll do:
  • This role focuses on delivering high-quality health assessments, wellbeing evaluations, and personalised lifestyle support directly onsite at one of our Corporate Clients.
  • Under direction of the team lead guide patients in understanding lifestyle choices that impact their long-term health, including nutrition, physical activity, sleep quality, and stress management
  • Carry out accurate and professional health checks as directed by the Health Screening Team Lead, this may include: Observations; temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, weight and height, urine output.
  • Capillary blood testing (near-patient testing for cholesterol, blood glucose, and HbA1c).
  • BMI, and waist-to-hip ratio measurements.
  • Foster a collaborative approach where the patient is actively involved in planning and maintaining their own wellbeing journey.
  • Promote preventative healthcare and encourage ongoing monitoring where appropriate.
  • Educate patients on the meaning and implications of their health screening results in clear, accessible language.
What you'll bring
  • Care Certificate Minimum Level 2 Safeguarding Course
  • Previous Healthcare Assistant experience in a similar Corporate setting, or Primary Care setting, Hospital, or Health and Wellbeing clinic / services.
  • Confident in delivering both assessments and lifestyle behaviour change.
  • Strong relationship building skills, ability to coach and influence appropriately.
