Job description

We have an amazing opportunity for Support Workers/Healthcare Assistants to join our caring and support team at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, our specialist centre in Kent, where we look after adults with a brain injury or other neurological conditions.

Set within the 12-acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care.

What You'll Be Working

FULL TIME – 36 hours per week. The hours are 7am to 7:30pm and 7pm to 7:30am.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Build relationships with patients, which are open and two-way.
  2. Support patients to undertake their rehabilitation programme.
  3. Establish methods of communication with patients, reducing barriers when necessary.
  4. Assist patients with mealtimes where necessary.
  5. Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed.
  6. Communicate any issues to the clinical team.
  7. Accurately report and/or record work activities.
  8. Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights.
What You'll Have
  1. A genuine interest in providing the best person-centred care possible for our young people.
  2. Experience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essential.
  3. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
