Job summary

Affinity Staff Limited is recruiting compassionate Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our agency team, supporting an established care facility in Braintree, Essex. This temporary HCA role offers complete schedule control and 24/7 agency support.

You will provide high-quality personal care, dignity, and companionship to residents, while maintaining accurate care records and collaborating with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in a UK healthcare or care home setting.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (preferred but not essential).
• Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willing to process a new one).
• Valid Right to Work in the UK.
• Caring, reliable nature with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily personal care, dressing, hygiene and mobility needs.
• Supporting meal times, nutrition monitoring, and encouraging hydration.
• Promoting dignity, independence, and person-centred care at all times.
• Maintaining accurate care records and daily fluid/food intake documentation.
• Collaborating with senior carers and nursing staff to ensure a safe, supportive environment.
