Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the team at HMP Bullingdon - a Category B male remand and resettlement prison near Bicester.

This role offers a varied environment where you will gain experience across primary care, mental health, and substance misuse, including emergency response, working on wings, clinics, health promotion, and more. No two days are the same in this challenging yet rewarding environment.

Hours: Full-time, approximately 37.5 hours per week, with shifts between Monday and Sunday, including weekends and nights.

Salary: £26,586 - £30,684 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
  • Work across primary care, clinics, health promotion, bloods, obs, wound care
  • Conduct induction duties, review new patients, and assess needs
  • Work within Early Days in Custody and substance misuse programs
  • Participate in bloods and vaccination clinics
  • Respond to emergencies
  • Ensure continuity of care and deliver high-quality care
  • Contribute to care packages, health promotion, and clinics

Person Specification

Qualifications and experience details are available via the application process.
