Job summary

The University of Liverpool is seeking an innovative and motivated Data Scientist to join the Civic Health Innovation Labs (CHIL), a Research Centre of Excellence delivering both the Analogue2Digital theme of the NIHR ARC North West Coast and the CHIZone. This fixed-term post supports AI-driven health analytics and collaboration with NHS, industry and policy partners.

Qualifications

• PhD in data science or related quantitative discipline.
• Experience in machine learning, AI or advanced analytics.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R or similar languages.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Experience in health or social care research would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver advanced analytical solutions using AI, ML and related quantitative methods.
• Analyse complex health and population datasets to generate insights.
• Collaborate with academic, NHS, industry, policy and public partners to support innovation and service improvement.
• Contribute to knowledge exchange, capacity building and research dissemination through publications, presentations and funding applications.
