We are seeking to employ enthusiastic Health Visitors to join our Newport Health Visiting Team. You will be working within a team of Health Visitors and skill mix staff delivering an Early Years Health Visiting programme to families living within the City of Newport.
The successful candidate will have the relevant qualification, professionalism and clinical skills necessary to work on their own initiative as well as working effectively in partnership with parents/carers and other services such as Early Years Services, Primary Care, Children Services and School Nursing. Applications from students due to qualify are also welcomed.
Health Visitors contribute to the development of new projects and policies within the health visiting service and are involved in the research, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based practice. The post holder will be responsible for providing universal, enhanced, and intensive Health Visiting services to children and families from all cultural diversities on their case load. Health Visitors work as a team across locally defined areas and support the service across Gwent, to provide a safe service for all preschool children and their families.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
