Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Health Visitor for Barrhead to join the Children and Families service. You will manage a health visiting caseload as an autonomous practitioner, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in assessment, referral, communication and intervention.

Working within NMC standards and relevant legislation, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve child health outcomes and support the wider public health agenda.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• SCPHN qualification in Health Visiting or Public Health Nursing.
• Experience in NHS settings and public health is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a designated health visiting caseload.
• Deliver evidence-based assessments, interventions, and referrals.
• Delegate and review work undertaken by team members.
• Provide specialist advice, parenting support, health promotion, and health education.
• Deliver psychosocial interventions and immunisations.
• Manage complex cases including child protection and domestic issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and multi-agency partners.
• Support service development and quality improvement.
