Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Health Visitor to join the Children’s Nursing Service within East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership. You will manage a health visiting caseload and deliver evidence-based care in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role is permanent, full-time (36 hours) with a 8.30 am - 4.30 pm shift, base in Barrhead Council Offices & Eastwood Health and Care Centre.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
SCPHN qualification in Health Visiting or Public Health Nursing.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise a designated health visiting caseload.
Deliver evidence-based assessments, interventions, and referrals.
Delegate and review work undertaken by team members.
Provide specialist advice, parenting support, health promotion, and health education.
Deliver psychosocial interventions and immunisations.
Manage complex cases including child protection, domestic abuse, addictions, perinatal illness, disability and life-limiting conditions.
Work with multidisciplinary and multi-agency partners.
Contribute to identifying and addressing public health needs.
Provide clinical leadership and continuity during staff absence.
Support innovation, quality improvement and service development.
