Job description

Applications are invited from suitably experienced Health Visitors to join the established team on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.

This key role involves delivering the 'Healthy Child Programme' to children and families, enabling children to reach their full potential in physical, mental, and emotional health.

Responsibilities include managing a defined caseload and providing a full range of health visiting services, including Universal, MECSH, and safeguarding work. There is also an opportunity to deliver community group-based activities. Reflective supervision is encouraged across all areas, including clinical, safeguarding, and professional development. The team is small but supportive, dedicated to promoting the health and development of pre-school children on our islands.

Salary and Benefits
  • Guernsey Band 6 salary range: £46,152 to £62,310
  • Annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements (36% evening/Saturday, 72% Sunday/Bank Holidays)
  • Annual leave: 36 to 42 days, with full credit for NHS service for leave and sick leave

Person Requirements
  • Qualified Nurse and Health Visitor with full NMC registration
  • At least two years of post-registration UK Health Visitor experience
  • Ability to manage own caseload within a defined area and work as part of a small team
  • Understanding of child protection and current health visiting practices
  • Current driving license
