Overview

Health Visitor – Peterhead

2 posts - 1 post 22.20 hours per week & 1 post 29.6 hours per week, based within Peterhead Community Hospital/Health Centre.

A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a creative and driven health visitor to become a member of our Buchan Health Visiting team.

Requirements & capabilities

• Excellent organisational and communication abilities, as well as a dedication to integrated teamwork.
• Understanding the GIRFEC framework and knowledge of the Universal Health Visiting Pathway, UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act 2024, Named Person, and Children & Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.

Support and development

• For the first-year, Health Visitors who are new to the Peterhead area, are offered monthly case supervision to help you get to know your caseload and the communities served.
• Additional opportunities for multiagency networking through participation in the local GIRFEC Group.
• Integrating a trauma-informed workforce is a primary goal of the Buchan Health Visiting Team, with opportunities for ongoing professional development, including international collaboration opportunities.
