Job summary

AWD online is recruiting a Health and Social Care Tutor in Leeds to deliver practical, engaging learning that helps young people prepare for further education, apprenticeships and careers in the care sector.

You will teach Health and Social Care from Entry Level to Level 2, support learners from enrolment to achievement, and provide pastoral guidance while recording progress and coordinating with colleagues to support English and Maths outcomes.

Qualifications

• This role requires a recognised teaching qualification in Education and Training.
• Minimum Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification or equivalent.
• Experience teaching or supporting learners in education or training settings.
• Ability to plan and deliver learning to meet individual learner needs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and learner wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Health and Social Care qualifications from Entry Level to Level 2.
• Create schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources.
• Provide pastoral and tutorial support and monitor learner progress.
• Support English and Maths achievement with colleagues.
• Assist with safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour in learning.
