Job summary

National Skills Agency Ltd is seeking a Health and Social Care Tutor to deliver high-quality Adult Care qualifications up to level 5. You will engage learners with blended delivery and workplace observation to ensure timely qualification achievement.

You will manage a caseload, meet KPI targets, conduct inductions and assessments, and develop schemes of work and resources for effective delivery. Collaboration with employers and adherence to funding rules are essential.

Qualifications

• Assessor qualification (A1/TAQA/CAVA or D32/D33) and recognised teaching or training qualification at level 3 or above.
• Experience in educational delivery and working knowledge within training/education sector.
• Commitment to CPD, safeguarding and professional development.
• GCSEs in English, Maths and IT (A*-C) or equivalent.
• Understanding of curriculum design and assessment and up-to-date knowledge of Ofsted/education inspection framework.
• Ability to support learners with Maths and English Functional Skills when needed.

Responsibilities

• Engage and support learners with blended delivery and workplace observation to achieve qualifications.
• Manage a caseload ensuring OFSTED and awarding bodies requirements in teaching, learning and assessment.
• Maintain KPI-driven caseload targets and learner progress.
• Conduct induction, initial assessment, diagnostic, ILP, skills scan and reviews with learners.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and course resources for delivery of qualifications.
• Maintain regular contact with employers throughout the learning journey.
• Set strategies for attendance, behaviour, and class performance; keep registers and required student data.
