Acorn Training Ltd. in Lincolnshire is seeking a Health and Social Care Tutor/Assessor to deliver high-quality, face-to-face learning for adults aiming to build careers in the social care sector.

You will plan, deliver and assess sessions on person-centred care, safeguarding, infection control, moving and handling, communication and workplace behaviours, supporting progression to employment or further training with an inclusive, learner-centred approach.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum Level 3 teaching, learning and assessment qualification (essential).
• Level 3 or higher in Health and Social Care (essential).
• Level 3 CAVA or equivalent (essential).
• GCSE English and Mathematics (essential).
• Full Driving Licence (essential).
• Level 4 IQA or equivalent (desirable).
• L5 teaching qualification or willingness to work toward (desirable).
• First Aid at Work Certificate (desirable).
• IOSH Health and Safety Qualification (desirable).

Aufgaben

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and practical learning sessions aligned with the adult care curriculum and industry standards.
• Deliver classroom-based training in areas such as person-centred care, safeguarding, infection control, moving and handling, communication, and workplace behaviours.
• Assess learner knowledge and practical competence through observation, written work, and discussions, with constructive feedback and goals.
• Adapt delivery to diverse learners, including those new to learning or entering the care sector.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment supporting learner confidence and participation.
• Support learners in developing behaviours and transferable skills valued by employers.
• Monitor attendance, progress, and achievements with accurate records per QA standards.
• Guide learners toward employment or further training and progression in the adult care sector.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partners to maintain high-quality delivery and learner support.
