Health and Social Care Lecturer - Romford, East London

Do you have a passion for health and social care and a desire to inspire the next generation of professionals? A forward-thinking college in Romford is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Social Care Lecturer to join their team this September 2025.

This is a temp ongoing opportunity offering up to £35 per hour - ideal for someone with a strong background in the health and social care sector who is ready to make a real difference through education.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons across Level 1 to Level 3 Health & Social Care courses
  • Support learners' development with tailored teaching approaches
  • Prepare lesson plans and schemes of work in line with curriculum standards
  • Assess and monitor student progress through assignments and practical assessments
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment
Requirements:
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent)
  • Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care or a related field
  • Experience teaching within Further Education or similar educational settings
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and current industry practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills
Essential:
  • Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) - must be on the Update Service or obtained prior to start
