Sandwell College in Sandwell is seeking an experienced assessor to support a caseload of learners, delivering workplace assessments and work-readiness sessions. The role includes pre-placement checks and DBS applications, with regular campus meetings to ensure standardisation.

You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of Health and Social Care frameworks, manage records, and collaborate with the Head of Section to develop provision. A full UK driving licence is required.

Formación

• Health and Social Care qualification Level 3 or above
• Assessor qualification such as D32/33 or A1
• Teaching qualification such as PTLLS or CTLLS, or willingness to work towards one

Responsabilidades

• Support a caseload of learners through regular meetings to evidence their learning
• Deliver assessment techniques in the workplace and within the qualification, leading to timely achievements
• Judge whether learner evidence meets qualification and unit standards
• Deliver targeted work-readiness sessions linked to employer placements
• Administer pre-placement checks, including facilitating and monitoring enhanced DBS applications
• Attend regular campus-based meetings with the Health and Social Care team to ensure standardisation
• Keep own professional development up to date to assess modern qualifications, including T-Levels and TOQs
• Maintain knowledge of Health and Social Care qualification frameworks and assessment standards
• Keep accurate academic and administrative records in line with quality assurance procedures
• Liaise with employers, learners, colleagues and external stakeholders to support progress
• Work with the Head of Section and curriculum team on developing the provision

Educación

Health and Social Care qualification Level 3 or above
