Job summary

A leading training provider seeks a dedicated trainer for full-time delivery of various health and safety courses. The role includes travel across the UK and the opportunity to develop assessing skills in leadership qualifications, contributing to a supportive and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• At least three years of occupational experience in construction or health & safety management.
• Willingness to obtain relevant teaching qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Site Safety Plus Courses, First Aid Courses, IOSH, and other training.
• Conduct primarily in-person courses with some remote sessions.
• Develop assessing skills for ILM Level 5 Leadership and Management.

About the Role

You’ll be forward-thinking, diligent & enthusiastic, willing to travel around the UK. We have 28 centres nationwide, and we aim to base you locally as much as possible. You will also deliver some remote courses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver our Site Safety Plus Courses (HSA, SSSTS & SMSTS), First Aid Courses, IOSH, and other training programs.
• Conduct mainly in-person courses, with some remote sessions.
• Operate in line with CST Training values, policies, and standards.
• Deliver courses such as:
• CITB-related courses
• IOSH-related courses
• Develop assessing skills to deliver and assess ILM Level 5 Leadership and Management qualifications and NVQ Level 2 and above in the construction industry.

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include:

• Any of the following:
• NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health
• NVQ/SVQ Level 3, 4, 5, or 6 in Occupational Safety and Health
• Health and Safety degree
• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Part 2, NEBOSH Units A, B, C, D
• Diploma Safety Management Level 6
• At least three years of occupational experience in construction or health & safety management, evidenced appropriately.

Required Skills

• Solid experience across multiple disciplines
• CITB Site Safety Plus (Approved Tutor Certificate) or willingness to obtain it
• Adult Teaching Qualification (AET) or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it
