Job description

Our established client in Dover is looking for an Asbestos and H&S Supervisor.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Dover

Salary: up to £40K DOE

As Asbestos and H&S Supervisor, you will:

1. Undertake the role of Appointed Person Asbestos on behalf of the company.
2. Prepare and maintain the Asbestos Management Plan.
3. Plan and manage asbestos surveys and inspections, maintain & update the Asbestos Register.
4. Appoint Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractors to undertake removal and/or remedial works, and to undertake surveys and periodic inspections.
5. Provide technical oversight and supervision of project works.
6. Prepare training material and provide training to staff and stakeholders.
7. Undertake broader H&S activities:
8. Promote H&S initiatives and act as an internal H&S Engineering advisor.
9. Drive improvements in processes to reduce health & safety risks.
10. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure engagement and commitment.
11. Review RAMS, and undertake site inspections to identify opportunities.
12. Recommend improvements to engineering tasks.

Asbestos and H&S Supervisor - Skills and Qualifications:

1. Technical, construction, building or trade background.
2. Qualified in P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings.
3. Conversant with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and Health & Safety Guidance (HSG) publications applicable to Asbestos.
4. Understanding of Risk Management and compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards, along with working knowledge of CDM 2015.
