Health, Safety and Security Manager

This role is responsible for assisting the Senior Health, Safety and Security Manager and Head of HSE in ensuring health, safety, security, and management standards are met within development and delivery areas.

  • Set the strategic direction, policy, and systems related to Engineering and Integration, Environmental Management, Innovation, Quality, and Assurance of Health, Safety, and Security.
  • Provide assurance to the Executive and Board, lead major strategic projects, and offer expert advice to the business.

The directorate is organized into six functional areas:

  • Chief Engineer
  • Integration
  • Quality & Assurance
  • Environmental Management and Town Planning
  • Health, Safety, and Security
  • Innovation
  • Directorate Business Management

Skills:

  • Analysis Skills - ability to identify hidden problems using honest analysis and probing techniques.
  • Problem-solving - apply rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; probe all relevant sources for answers.
  • Ability to assist with the production and review of technical reports, including assurance and investigation reports, and interface with staff across all levels of the project.

Type of Experience:

  • Experience in assisting with the delivery of assurance across a major programme or a complex organization with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience being part of a multi-disciplinary Quality or Health & Safety team.
  • Experience contributing to and reviewing investigations.
  • A professional qualification in Health and Safety or equivalent experience.
