Pearson is offering a Health, Safety, Quality and Compliance Apprenticeship in the United Kingdom. The role supports compliance, quality assurance and health and safety activities while developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours for a career in this area.

You will work with Donna Rowley and Rob Waller, attend apprenticeship training, complete assignments on time and apply learning within the Pearson TQ environment, progressing towards NEBOSH Level 3 and Level 6 as development permits.

Qualifications

• Interest in health and safety, quality assurance, compliance, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Confident written and verbal communication skills, with professional communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines, training commitments and work priorities.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions and take feedback positively.
• Ability to handle information confidentially and appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance, review and version control of health and safety, quality and compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, forms, trackers and guidance notes.
• Assist with internal audits, compliance checks, inspections and evidence gathering under supervision.
• Help monitor the completion of actions arising from audits, risk assessments, incidents, inspections and improvement plans.
• Support the recording, tracking and reporting of incidents, near misses, hazards and corrective actions.
• Assist with the preparation of health and safety, quality and compliance reports, dashboards, briefings and communications.
• Support risk assessment activity, including document review, action tracking and follow-up with relevant teams.
• Maintain accurate records in line with Pearson TQ procedures, audit requirements and data protection expectations.
• Assist with compliance-related communications, awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, reminders and staff guidance.
• Liaise professionally with colleagues, managers and stakeholders to obtain information, follow up actions and promote good practice.
• Attend apprenticeship training, complete assignments on time and apply learning within the workplace.
