Overview

A market-leading manufacturer specialising in accessories for high-rise construction projects. This organisation is driven by a commitment to innovation, safety, and continuous improvement throughout its operations.

What You'll Do

Your New Role — As the H&S Officer, you will report directly to the Production Manager and take full ownership of the site's SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) strategy. This is a hands-on position, integrated within the production environment, where you will lead initiatives to improve safety culture, systems, and behaviours. You will also provide support to SHEQ activities across sister brands, requiring occasional travel within Great Britain.

Responsibilities
  • Champion Health & Safety on-site and address unsafe behaviours.
  • Lead internal audits and oversee incident investigations.
  • Develop and implement SHEQ policies and procedures.
  • Maintain training matrices and deliver inductions and basic safety training.
  • Drive SHEQ improvement projects and embed quality control processes.
  • Support compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
What You'll Need to Succeed

You'll ideally have:

  • A degree in a relevant H&S or quality-related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a SHEQ or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • A strong track record of delivering safety and quality improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and safety management systems.
  • A practical, hands-on mindset and the ability to work independently.

A NEBOSH qualification (or working towards one) is desirable.
