About the job

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Health & Safety Officer to join our dynamic team. This hands-on position requires a team player who can work closely with every department on daily operations, promote a positive Health & Safety culture throughout the business, actively implement and monitor Health & Safety systems and provide support and training to employees.

Your tasks

Key responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs and policies
  2. Coordinate and monitor safe working systems and processes
  3. Ensure that data with regards to Health & Safety performance is captured and analysed
  4. Provide support and guidance on Health & Safety matters
  5. Investigate accidents, identify root causes and prepare remedial plans
  6. Manage relationship with insurance providers
  7. Ensure PPE is provided and used
  8. Ensure First Aiders and Fire Marshalls are trained and carry out evacuation and fire drills
  9. Oversee all aspects of building and warehouse functions and guarantee the safety and functionality of facilities (safety inspections, managing contractors, maintaining records, etc)
Requirements
  • Degree or level 6 diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Health (desirable)
  • Relevant qualification: NEBOSH, IOSH or City & Guilds NVQ
  • 2 years of experience in Health & Safety
