Job description

My client, one of Scotland's largest local authorities, is urgently seeking a Health & Safety Officer / CDM Officer to join their team on a contract basis.

Reporting directly to the Programme Manager, you will be responsible for a diverse Health & Safety strategy. You will assist in providing comprehensive advisory and support services on all work programmes and CDM matters.

You will be responsible for:

1. The implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting on Health & Safety matters across various contracts.
2. Providing clients with pre-construction information for domestic new build and refurbishment projects.
3. Ensuring sub-contractors comply with current CDM regulations.
4. Ensuring the appropriate management processes and controls are in place to monitor contracts by reviewing contractor H&S audits, HSE involvement, or accidents on-site.

Experience required includes:

1. Experience of Health & Safety on construction sites.
2. Demolition and new build experience.
3. Principal Designer knowledge.

This is a hybrid working position with full-time and part-time options available. The contract will be for a minimum period of 6 months.

The role is inside IR35.
