Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and drive HSE standards across our East Midlands construction operations. You will provide expert guidance to project teams, support mobilisation and champion a proactive safety culture on multiple sites.

The ideal candidate holds NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent, is an IOSH member, has CDM 2015 knowledge, and a track record of site audits and RAMS review within construction, civil engineering or

A recognised construction-related health & safety qualification.
IOSH membership or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day health and safety across construction operations.
Provide competent H&S advice to directors, managers, supervisors and site teams.
Conduct planned and unplanned site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
Prepare, review and approve RAMS and Construction Phase Plans.
Support H&S requirements of new projects from mobilisation to completion.
Monitor compliance with legislation, procedures and client requirements.
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; support RIDDOR if required.
Analyse H&S performance data and identify preventative actions.
Deliver toolbox talks and safety initiatives.
Promote safety culture and coach teams on controls.
