A leading civil engineering company is seeking a Health & Safety Manager for their Aviation projects. You will develop a positive safety culture focused on accident prevention and health improvement. The ideal candidate has substantial experience in airport projects and holds a NEBOSH Diploma. This site-based role includes a competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum plus car allowance and benefits.

Health & Safety Manager - Airports / Aviation

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, negotiable, plus car/allowance and package

Location: Site Based / Hybrid, London, Stansted, Birmingham

Company / Role Information

A leading civil engineering and infrastructure company is recruiting an experienced Health & Safety Manager for their Aviation projects.

This role covers projects at Heathrow, Stansted, and Birmingham, with travel and accommodation expenses covered as needed.

Reporting to the Head of HSQE, the Health & Safety Manager will develop a positive safety culture focused on accident prevention and health improvement for all on-site personnel.

Person Specification

  • Proven achievement in airport/aviation projects
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent
  • CSCS card holder
  • Qualified internal health & safety auditor with experience in audits
  • Lead Auditor status is beneficial
  • Knowledge of BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and experience with registration visits
  • Understanding of current and upcoming health & safety legislation
  • Strong presentation, written, analytical, and IT skills
  • Experience in training and presenting at all organizational levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for guiding and educating staff
  • Self-confidence to build strong internal and external relationships

Role Responsibilities

  • Support and guide businesses in health & safety management, aligning with policies and standards
  • Represent the client in health & safety interface issues
  • Ensure proper reporting and investigation of incidents
  • Manage health & safety advisors
