Job Description

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum negotiable plus car/allowance and package

A leading civil engineering and infrastructure company is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee projects within their Aviation team. The role involves managing multiple projects at Heathrow, Stansted, and Birmingham, with travel and accommodation covered where needed. Reporting to the Head of HSQE, the manager will develop a positive health & safety culture focused on accident prevention and safety improvements on-site.

Person Specification
  • Proven achievement in a similar role within airport/aviation projects
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent
  • CSCS card holder
  • Qualified internal health & safety auditor with experience in internal audits
  • Lead Auditor status is beneficial
  • Understanding of BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and experience with registration surveillance
  • Knowledge of current and upcoming health & safety legislation
  • Strong presentation, written, analytical, and IT skills
  • Experience in training and presenting at all organizational levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for guiding and educating teams
  • Self-confidence to build strong internal and external relationships
Role Responsibilities
  • Providing support and guidance to manage health & safety in line with policies and standards
  • Representing the client regarding H&S interface requirements for contracts/projects
  • Ensuring incidents are reported and investigated appropriately
  • Line management of Health & Safety advisors
