Health & Safety Manager

Location: Heathrow

This is an opportunity to work for one of the UK’s leading contractors on a high-value aviation project at Heathrow. You will be supported to progress your career within the business.

The Company

This organization is one of the UK’s leading engineering and construction companies, providing specialist building, civil engineering, and rail expertise across various markets. They support their staff both financially and through mentorship towards chartership and relevant qualifications.

Key duties will include:

• Being responsible for health and safety on site and promoting a "Safety first" culture.
• Providing training and guidance on HSQE matters across the site.
• Ensuring timely closure of actions from audits, inspections, accidents, and incidents.
• Monitoring and facilitating compliance with the management system and standards such as BS EN ISO 9001, BS EN ISO 14001, and BS OHSAS 45001.

About You

You should be an experienced health and safety professional within the construction and aviation sectors. This role is based at Heathrow; therefore, you must be able to obtain security clearance. Experience with asphalt concrete or pavement quality concrete (PQC) is essential, as the role involves resurfacing runways.

You will hold a NEBOSH qualification. It is preferred that you live near Heathrow to attend occasional weekend or night shifts for work reviews.

Salary and Benefits

Salary up to £60,000 plus a company car or allowance, subsistence, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension scheme, and support for further education and membership funding.
