Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a Surrey-based project team working with a Tier 1 contractor. You will oversee site safety, ensure compliance with legislation, and drive continuous improvement in HSE across multiple projects valued between £10M and £100M.

The role involves supporting planning and delivery teams on high-risk activities, performing regular safety inspections & audits, and advising on incidents or near misses.

Qualifications

• Experience leading health & safety on large construction projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001/ ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with legal standards, client expectations and company standards.
• Support planning and delivery teams with high-risk activities.
• Regularly carry out safety inspections and audits.
• Support and advise on incidents, accidents or near misses.

Fawkes & Reece are currently supporting an industry leading Tier 1 Contractor with their search for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their project team based in Surrey. This Health & Safety Manager will work across a variety of projects, within the region typically valuing between £10M - £100M.

About the role of

Health & Safety Manager

As Health & Safety Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the safety of project teams across the site, promoting best practice and driving H&S legislation throughout whilst pushing for continuous improvement surrounding Health & Safety.

Responsibilities for

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with legal standards, client expectations company standards.
• Support the planning & delivery team with high-risk activities.
• Regularly carry out safety inspections & audits
• Appropriately support and advise any incidents, accidents or near misses
• Proactively promote and engage the team with HSE awareness & behavioural improvement

Requirements for Health & Safety Manager

• Previous experience in a similar role working on similar value schemes would be advantages, for this opportunity we would consider a HSE Advisor looking to step up.
• Knowledge & understanding of ISO 45001/ ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
