Health and Safety Manager

Vickerstock are working with a leading Food Manufacturing firm based in the Greater Glasgow area on the appointment of a Health & Safety Manager. An organisation that has experienced sustained growth over the last decade and is a renowned producer within their sector segment.

As growth continues with the organisation, transformative change is part of the progress, establishing a robust H&S Strategy will be a core part of the first and initial phase of this role. Implementation and integration of new systems and processes will follow and be a key responsibility, managing this change and bringing the various teams and departments along this journey will be part of the remit of the role.

This is an exciting time for the organisation as they embark on setting even higher standards of excellence and industry recognition to help them achieve their vision and overall company objectives.

What you ll need to succeed:

• Demonstrable experience in developing, implementation and embedding a strong H&S culture within an organisation will be crucial
• Experience of managing and developing H&S strategies and policies
• Ensure Health and Safety Risk Management is in line with ISO 45001 standards
• Ability to establish and oversee a robust system for H&S Inspections and audits

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years in a Senior H&S role within a manufacturing organisation
• NEBOSH
• Professional certification and membership of IOSH/IIRSM
• Demonstrable track record of implementing systems and procedures
