Your new company
We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a busy manufacturing facility. You will advise, guide, and coach management on all matters relating to environment, health, and safety.
Your new role
As the site lead, you will advise, guide, and coach management on health & safety issues and take direct responsibility for the HSE team. You will communicate and monitor the delivery of strategy, ensure full understanding, and facilitate the implementation of management systems in line with ISO 14001, OHSAS, and HSG65 where applicable.
You will oversee accident investigations, liaise with regulatory bodies, health & safety executives, and environmental agencies. Additionally, you will work closely with group peers to support utility reduction programs and projects aimed at resource efficiency savings, identifying areas to reduce costs and maximize profits.
As an experienced HSE Manager, you will hold a NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 equivalent, with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will have significant experience in health, safety, and environmental management, including systems experience with ISO 14001, 9001, and HSG65, as well as knowledge of current and future UK and EU environmental and health & safety legislation.
You will be a strong influencer with good communication skills, capable of supporting colleagues across various activities.
This role offers a salary range of £60,000-£65,000, 258 holidays (with the option to purchase additional days), a pension scheme, sick pay scheme, life assurance, staff discount schemes across large retailers, and a fully subsidized canteen.
