gap construction are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to work with a renowned main contractor who are known for their strong presence throughout London & the Home Counties.

Performance Objectives

• Take full responsibility for the development, implementation, and continual improvement of Health & Safety procedures across all projects.
• Monitor and audit safety practices on–site to ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal standards.
• Deliver Health & Safety training and inductions to site teams and subcontractors.
• Lead on investigations into incidents or near misses, producing detailed reports and action plans to mitigate future risks.
• Ensure the business is operating in line with current legislation, updating policies as required.
• Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on all Health & Safety matters.

Person Specification

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification is essential.
• Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager role within construction or a similar environment.
• Excellent knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
• A proactive, detail–focused approach with the ability to identify and resolve potential safety issues before they escalate.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, able to influence teams at all levels.
• Professional, well–presented, and confident in client–facing situations.
