Health & Safety Manager – Scunthorpe - £45,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance

Chase & Holland are delighted to be working with a well-established logistics business in Scunthorpe, which has a strong presence across the UK & Europe. They are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to join their team. This key role, covering four main sites, will involve driving, supporting, and improving the safety culture across the business, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.

Health & Safety Manager Responsibilities:

• Prepare reports and guidance for monthly Health & Safety meetings
• Maintain Health & Safety Policy
• Conduct inductions for all new employees
• Oversee all H&S activities, including risk assessments, procedures, and training across the business
• Lead on all H&S matters, enforce policies, and foster a positive H&S culture
• Consult with managers and employees to develop and maintain safe work systems and environments
• Investigate accidents and incidents, implementing measures to prevent recurrence
• Ensure compliance of all company equipment
• Report monthly on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics to management
• Ensure environmental compliance of the company

Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch)

Required Skills & Experience:

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
• Experience with Industry Standards: FORS (Desirable)
• Experience in a similar role within the logistics/transport industry
• Excellent people skills and strong communication abilities
• Full UK driving license
• IT literacy
