Job summary

A leading company in the construction sector is seeking a Health & Safety Manager for their data centre and pharmaceutical projects in South Wales. The successful candidate will drive HSE excellence, ensuring compliance and fostering a safety culture on site. Applicants should have substantial experience in Health & Safety management, particularly in high-spec environments and should possess a NEBOSH Diploma. Health & Safety Manager – Data Centre & Pharmaceutical Projects

Location: South Wales

About the Role:

As Health & Safety Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving HSE excellence on complex, fast-paced projects within data centre and pharmaceutical environments. You’ll work closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure full compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a culture of safety from design through delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead HSE strategy and implementation on active sites
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
  • Develop and deliver training, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
  • Monitor compliance with project-specific safety requirements, local laws, and client standards
  • Liaise with client HSE teams, consultants, and regulatory bodies
  • Champion a proactive safety culture, supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for audits and inspections

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in Health & Safety management
  • Proven background in data centre and pharmaceutical project environments
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent); IOSH/Chartered Membership desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations, construction safety, and high-spec cleanroom/tech environments
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, high-performance setting
  • Experience with multinational clients and Tier 1 contractors
