Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full Time

Hours: 7.30am - 6pm

Salary: 50,000 - 60,000 DOE

Your Role: As our Health & Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in:

  • Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Reviewing site-specific risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) provided by contractors.
  • Investigating incidents and near misses, generating detailed reports, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintaining accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training.
  • Liaising with site managers, subcontractors, and clients to foster a safe working environment.
  • Assisting the H&S team with data collection, KPI tracking, and trend analysis.
  • Delivering training sessions and presentations.
  • Supporting the H&S team in updating documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Helping retain company accreditations, including ISO:45001, RoSPA, and SafeContractor SSIP.

What We're Looking For: To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.
  • Technical Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH).
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
  • First Aid at Work Certification.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in the construction industry, ideally in interior fit-out projects.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Confidence in engaging with site teams and senior management.
  • A flexible approach, willing to work weekends and out-of-hours as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products; experience with the Safety Culture (iAuditor) platform is a plus.
