We currently have an opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager to join our London office. Reporting to the Global Head of Environmental Sustainability and the Global Head of Resilience, this role will be a leader and trusted advisor on health and safety (H&S) management and the development and maintenance of H&S culture in the workplace. You will hold responsibility for the UK Safety Management System, including strategy, continual improvement, operational H&S management, and relationships, including developing and implementing initiatives, projects, and data analysis.

Role and responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety strategies, objectives, projects, and plans to improve H&S performance.
  • Lead and develop the ISO 45001 Safety Management System, including the transition to the new London office building in 2026.
  • Manage the H&S budget for operational and capital expenditure.
  • Oversee UK health and safety data systems and records, ensuring timely and quality data input.
  • Analyze H&S data from UK and global activities.
  • Develop H&S communications and engagement strategies, and present reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Report or share data with internal and external bodies.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to manage HSE risks.
  • Manage HSE training programs and online software training for fire wardens, first aiders, etc.
  • Supervise team members responsible for First Aid supplies and workstation equipment.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to respond to client and business requests.
  • Audit contractors for safety compliance.
  • Manage workstation assessments and ergonomic equipment orders.
  • Collaborate with HR and Occupational Health on H&S and wellbeing objectives.
  • Lead H&S aspects of business continuity situations like evacuations and floods.
Key requirements
  • Experience managing H&S in a professional services environment.
  • Experience with ISO 45001 Safety Management Systems.
  • Experience working within a small team.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate within a matrix-management structure.
  • High motivation to improve performance.
  • Ability to work under pressure during incidents and daily activities.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with trend identification and initiatives.
  • Excellent engagement and communication skills across all levels.
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Degree in Health and Safety.
  • Chartered MIOSH or working towards Chartership.
