A leading company in construction safety management seeks a dedicated professional to support high standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management on-site. You will conduct inspections, deliver training, and oversee compliance with safety procedures to ensure effective risk management and safety for all personnel. This role requires experience in health and safety, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Support the project team in upholding high standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management across site activities by:
Conducting regular site inspections to monitor compliance with company HSE procedures and promptly reporting any potential issues for corrective action.
Ensuring that high–risk activities are properly planned and executed safely.
Monitoring the condition and accessibility of site access and escape routes, particularly those shared between construction and non–construction personnel, to ensure safety and clarity.
Delivering regular site safety briefings and toolbox talks to team leaders and supervisors.
Reviewing and validating task–specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) provided by contractors and suppliers, with particular attention to the unique risks associated with the work environment.
Ensuring high–risk works are thoroughly assessed for potential hazards before commencement.
Verifying that all operatives are appropriately briefed before beginning tasks and that work is carried out in line with approved RAMS.
Performing spot checks to ensure all site safety registers and records are current and accurately maintained.
Delivering comprehensive site–specific health and safety inductions for all personnel.
Assisting in the preparation and ongoing review of project hazard logs and risk assessments.
Supporting the development and updating of key safety documents, such as the Construction Phase Plan and Fire Safety Plan, as site conditions evolve.
Coordinating with client–side HSE representatives to plan and manage upcoming high–risk activities collaboratively.
