We are proud to be supporting a leading manufacturer in their search for a Health & Safety Manager who will lead best practices within the operational team.

You will work closely with the senior team to ensure robust HSE processes are embedded at the core of the organization. As the business's subject matter expert for all HSE matters, you will partner with the business to embed best practices across the organization. There is a significant personal development plan on offer for the right candidate. Occasional travel to a sister site in rural Suffolk will be required.

Core duties include:

1. Reporting to the Operations Director, act as the company's Health & Safety expert supporting the creation, implementation, development, monitoring, and review of safety arrangements.
2. Monitoring and enforcement of relevant safety rules and statutory safety requirements.
3. Responsible for the creation, communication, and implementation of safety initiatives.
4. Collaborate with external advisors to ensure the business adheres to current best practices for health and safety.
5. Act as chair of the Safety Committee, reporting to management.
6. Conduct in-house audits of H&S systems and training.
7. Oversee the QMS system for the business.
