Job summary

Focus Resourcing is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead H&S across a national distribution network of 40 branches in the UK and Ireland. The role involves designing and delivering a robust H&S framework with significant travel during the initial period.

You will develop policies, conduct audits, and drive improvements while liaising with external consultants and internal teams. A NEBOSH Diploma is required and a driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience designing and delivering an H&S framework across a multi-site, national operation.
• Full NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of UK and Irish Health & Safety legislation.
• Excellent communication, influencing, stakeholder management, report writing and analytical skills.
• Experience within wholesale / retail or distribution would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.

Job description

Working for an established and successful national Wholesaler/Distributor of ventilation and refrigeration equipment, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. You will play a key role in creating a safe, compliant and proactive working environment across 40 branches throughout the UK and Ireland, with significant national travel required during the first 6 months and regular travel thereafter.

DUTIES:

• Develop and continuously improve Health & Safety systems, policies and practices
• Conduct regular audits and inspections, monitor performance and drive corrective actions
• Liaise with external H&S consultants, regulatory bodies and internal teams
• Chair Health & Safety Committee meetings, support H&S Representatives and deliver training
• Embed a robust H&S governance framework and drive improvements in safety culture and compliance

• Salary up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
