Job description

Health Safety Fire Consultant

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Home based in London / South East England, including Crawley, Guildford, Slough, High Wycombe, Hemel Hempstead, Luton, Stevenage, Harlow, Chelmsford, Basildon, Maidstone, and Tonbridge

Salary: £45k to £60K (negotiable depending on experience) with Car Allowance, Medical, Pension

Start Date: ASAP

Join an established consultancy providing health, safety, and fire safety services to a broad UK client base.

Position Objectives
  1. Provide high standards of health and safety consultancy to clients.
  2. Travel extensively for client audits, assessments, and advisory visits, including occasional overnight stays.
Qualifications Required
  1. Health, Safety & Fire Safety qualification from an approved professional body (e.g., FPA Level 3, NEBOSH, Tech IOSH) with at least 2 years' experience.
  2. Working towards membership of IFSM, IFE, IIRSM.
  3. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  4. Knowledge of health, safety, and fire safety principles and practices.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word, with a willingness to learn new software.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct audits and risk assessments, including health, safety, and fire risk assessments.
  2. Draft health and safety policies and procedures.
  3. Provide bespoke consultancy services tailored to client needs.
  4. Coordinate with clients and schedule appointments efficiently.
  5. Prepare reports using the company's online compliance system.
  6. Adhere to the IOSH code of conduct and internal policies.

The role is suitable for individuals currently working as a Health Safety and Fire Consultant, Risk Assessor, or similar, residing within a reasonable distance of London / South East England or willing to relocate.
