We're on the lookout for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join a forward-thinking engineering business that's serious about safety. You'll lead from the front, managing day-to-day tactical HSE activities while helping to shape long-term strategy and drive best practice across the site.

The Role:

  1. Leading onsite health & safety management with a clear focus on legal compliance and continuous improvement
  2. Driving implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001 H&S systems
  3. Delivering hands-on risk assessments, audits, inspections and behavioural safety initiatives

  5. Empowering teams through engaging toolbox talks, training sessions, and committee leadership
  6. Promoting a culture of ownership and proactive safety engagement across all levels
The Person:

  1. Strong HSE experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering setting
  2. NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum (Diploma desirable)
  3. In-depth knowledge of UK H&S law and ISO 45001 requirements
  4. A confident communicator, influencer and collaborator with a sharp eye for risk and compliance
  5. Passion for people, continuous improvement, and embedding positive behavioural change
Bonus Points If You:

  1. Understand lean manufacturing principles
  2. Have experience leading site-based HSE systems and working cross-functionally
  3. Are ready to be a visible, trusted presence on the shop floor and beyond
  4. Have any exposure to the ISO 50001 Energy Management System

This is your chance to make a lasting impact on a business that values health, safety, and wellbeing-not just on paper, but in practice. You'll be given autonomy, support, and the opportunity to help shape a best-in-class safety culture.
