ASME Engineering Ltd, a leading force in the London steel fabrication and welding sector, is seeking an experienced and driven Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to strengthen our leadership team. If you’re passionate about building safe workplaces and leading environmental improvement in heavy industry, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) strategy across all operations.

  • Ensure full compliance with ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 9001 (Quality) standards.
  • Take ownership of internal and external audits – planning, leading, and closing out actions effectively.
  • Monitor and report on carbon emissions and wider environmental performance metrics; develop strategies to meet company environmental targets.
  • Develop and implement training and awareness programs across the company.

Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

  • Act as point of contact for HSE regulatory bodies and certification auditors.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar HSE role within the steel, fabrication, or heavy manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001.
  • Demonstrable experience in environmental impact monitoring and CO2 emissions tracking.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and report-writing skills.
  • Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and best practice.
