Team Horizon is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor for a leading construction company, based in Hertfordshire. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager & Project/Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the HSE strategy on projects, maintaining a positive safety culture, and ensuring industry-leading health, safety, and environmental compliance. This role is fully onsite.

What you will be doing:
- Supporting the development and monitoring of safe systems of work and risk assessments.
- Auditing projects, tracking indices, and addressing non-conformances.
- Leading and influencing H&S culture across projects.
- Engaging the workforce in risk identification and mitigation.
- Promoting positive safety behaviors.
- Ensuring statutory compliance.
- Advising on HSE issues from preconstruction to project completion.
- Implementing company policies and procedures.
- Assisting in drafting and communicating safety policies.
- Supporting safety inductions and communications.
- Providing safety guidance to management and workers.
- Supporting accreditation processes and audits.
- Facilitating inspections and audits, ensuring timely issue resolution.
- Conducting site inspections and reporting findings.
- Leading incident investigations and ensuring effective learning.
- Producing high-quality reports.
- Identifying and delivering staff training.
- Promoting a healthy, incident-free workplace.
- Liaising with authorities and client representatives.
- Participating in start-up meetings and leading safety excellence initiatives.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
What you need to apply:
- Third-level qualification in H&S or a related discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience on large commercial/construction projects.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Attention to detail, conscientiousness, and focus.
- Self-motivated with good stakeholder relationship skills.
- Full clean driver’s license is preferable.
- Excellent communication skills.
