Job summary

Framatome Limited in Bridgwater, Somerset, is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor to join the UK team. You will report to the Project HSE Manager and drive health, safety and environmental performance on site at the Hinkley Point construction programme.

The role requires NEBOSH General and Construction qualifications, strong communication and coordination with contractors, and a proactive approach to incident investigations and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years working as an Occupational Health Safety Advisor.
• NEBOSH National General in Occupational Safety and Health.
• NEBOSH National Construction in Occupational Safety and Health.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Health Safety and Environmental Manager on Health Safety and Environmental issues, performance and areas that require improvement.
• Produce reports as required to the Project Health Safety and Environmental Manager.
• Support Framatome Site Supervision in Occupational Health Safety and Environmental Matters.
• Coordinate and cooperate with the Principal Contractor, Support Framatome Subcontractors and others on Health Safety and Environmental issues.
• Monitor compliance with and enforcing site safety rules and procedures.
• Ensure adherence/compliance with UK Legislation and regulations and the client's procedures and standards.
• Review method statements and risk assessments including subcontractors’ documentation.
• Monitor subcontractors’ activities against approved method statements and risk assessments.
• Attend daily Health Safety and Environment Morning/End of day meetings and Team briefs.
• Perform investigations into Accidents or Near Misses, Carry out onsite workplace inspections.
