Overview

Join our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) department as an Officer. You will monitor and promote a safe and healthy work environment, ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, and encourage a positive safety culture. You will influence at all levels of the organisation, from Board room to operational level, and across all process areas. You will assist in implementing health and safety standards across sites and field-based operations, ensuring day-to-day compliance with legislation and company requirements. You will provide guidance, monitoring, and support to embed best practice into daily operations, contribute to incident reporting and investigation processes, support audit and inspection activities, and maintain effective communication with external bodies when required. Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Level 6 NEBOSH Diploma and IOSH membership is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a HSE role.
  • Ability to identify risk and opportunities.
  • Understanding of local and international HSE laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Ability to adapt communication style and behaviour to engage and motivate all associates.
  • Demonstrable ability to implement new processes and standards.
  • Self-motivated and committed to team engagement and teamwork.
  • Strong IT skills, Microsoft packages, automation and SAP systems.
  • Experience of working with certification bodies, environmental management awareness and auditing skills are preferred but not essential.

  • Expected Start Date: Advisory and flexible within reason.
  • Working Hours: 39 hours per week; 08:00-17:00 (Mon-Thu) and 08:00-16:00 (Fri) with a 1-hour lunch break.
