Job summary

Gordon Moody is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Facilities Officer to manage health, safety and facilities across residential services. The role is based on-site at a treatment centre in Redditch or Wolverhampton, for 21 hours per week with pro rata salary depending on hours.

You will lead safety systems, conduct risk assessments and inspections, and ensure compliance with UK legislation while supporting managers on safety and wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety compliance.
• Experience in risk assessment, audits and incident management.
• Confident working with managers, contractors and external bodies.
• Understanding of Equality Act responsibilities and workplace adjustments.
• Experience in care, charity or regulated environments (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead health & safety systems across residential and community services.
• Carry out risk assessments, audits and site inspections.
• Investigate incidents and implement preventative actions.
• Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation and quality standards.
• Advise and support managers on safety, wellbeing and workplace adjustments.
• Coordinate facilities, maintenance and contractor activity.
• Monitor performance and report to senior leadership.

Part Time - Health & Safety Facilities Officer HSE

(Redditch B97 or Wolverhampton WV3)

Location—On-site at a Gordon Moody Treatment Centre in B97 or WV3

Hours – Part-time, 21 hours over the week – or 3 days x 7 hours

Salary – £38k to £43k if full-time, 35-hour week.

Therefore, pro rata for 21 hours a week £22,800 and £25,800.

We’re looking for a proactive Health & Safety & Facilities Officer to help ensure our environments are safe, compliant and supportive for everyone who uses our services.

The role

Based on-site at one of our treatment centres, you’ll take the lead on health, safety and facilities across our residential services. You’ll drive a strong safety culture, manage risk assessments and inspections, support compliance, and work closely with managers to maintain safe, well-run environments.
