Join STS Group as our next HSE Officer in Slough
We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental professional to join an exciting Data Centre project in Slough. STS Group is fully committed to the highest Health, Safety and Environmental practices, this role will play an essential part in making sure everyone works safely and goes home in one piece every day.
The Opportunity
As our next HSE Officer, you’ll work closely with the project management team to ensure a positive and well-informed HSE culture flourishes. Key to this role will be identifying all HSE risks and ensuring the best prevention and mitigation controls are in place.
What You’ll Do
Sound Advice – Conducting regular site audits and assessments, following up on corrective actions and becoming the go-to for all things Health, Safety, and Environmental.
Sharing and Reporting – Development of project specific HSE documents in conjunction with the project management team (HSE Plans, RAMS, Aspects & Impacts Register etc).
Meeting the Highest Standards – Ensuring our site is compliant with all relevant HSE legislation, and adherent to our HSEQ Management systems (ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001).
Team Collaboration – Proactively work with site management teams, subcontractors, and clients to promote the project EHS requirements.
Promoting STS Mission Zero – Making sure company inductions, site orientations and training are delivered in a timely manner.
What We’re Looking For
️ Some experience working in a construction environment, ideally on electrical and/or mechanical projects.
️ Relevant third level qualification and training in Environmental, Health & Safety.
️ Good knowledge of current HSE related legislation & regulations.
️ Ability to efficiently and effectively support all HSE issues on your projects.
️ Excellent IT skills, you pick up new systems with ease.
️ A self-starter and capable of working on your own initiative.
️ Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
️ High Proficiency in English language (written & spoken).
Desirable but not Essential
️ Prior experience on Data Centre or Life Sciences (pharmaceutical) projects
